Lovely collection of images John that really show the passing of the seasons beautifully. I think it's a great idea for a project. Do you ever go back and re shoot the images with your bigger camera?

Thank you Gill. I really should return with my regular camera, but the better solution might be to carry the larger camera with me at all times. These images do sometimes feel like field notes. Intentional vs spontaneous photography. I guess that's the rub.

I really enjoy looking at this series of images alongside your narrative. I can very much relate to your statement, "I seem to revel in the remote look of the land alone." Returning to the same beautiful spots as the seasons move past is such a rewarding practice. Your image of Lake Ontario with the iron sky and that thin orange layer at the horizon, indicating sunny skies to the south in New York state, asks the mind to imagine beyond the image .. wonderful work, and very inspiring.

Thank you Pamela. I can say likewise with yourself. and yes, to Canned Heat. I always seem to have music in my head. It's "A drunkard's dream if I ever did see one"
